Welcome to ScentMastersUK. By accessing or using our website (www.scentmasters.uk), booking a course or workshop, or engaging with our content or services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.  Please read them carefully before using our site.

1. About Us
ScentMastersUK is owned and operated by Tom Moir, a UK-based scentwork and detection dog trainer. We offer dog training workshops, courses, and consultation services for both civilian and professional clients.

2. Services
We provide:

• In-person workshops, courses, and seminars

• Private training and consultations

• Educational content via our website or email

All training is based on ethical, reward-based methods with an emphasis on practical handling skills and odour obedience.
 
3. Booking & Payment

• All bookings must be made via the official booking system or by direct arrangement with Tom Moir.

• A non-refundable deposit of £100 per seminar/workshop day or £20 per one-to-one session is required to secure your booking.

• The remaining balance must be paid in full no later than 72 hours prior to the seminar/workshop or one-to-one session.

• Payments are accepted via Bank Transfer.

• Mileage is charged at 45p per mile (round trip) from the trainer’s base.

• Where overnight accommodation is necessary (e.g., for long-distance or multi-day events), this must be arranged or covered by the client/host club.
   

4. Cancellations and Refunds
Client Cancellations:
Seminars/Workshops (hosted by clubs):

• More than 30 days’ notice: Deposit retained; no additional charge.

• 15–30 days’ notice: 50% of the seminar/workshop fee is payable.

• 14 days or fewer: 100% of the seminar/workshop fee is payable, unless the date is rebooked.

• Any non-refundable travel or accommodation costs already incurred will also be invoiced.
   

One-to-One Sessions:

• More than 48 hours’ notice: Deposit retained.

• 24–48 hours’ notice: 50% of the session fee is payable.

• Less than 24 hours or no-show: Full session fee is payable.
   

Trainer Cancellations (Tom Moir):
If Tom must cancel due to illness or unforeseen circumstances, he will offer as much notice as possible. Clients will be offered a full refund or the option to reschedule. ScentMastersUK is not liable for any third-party costs incurred by the client (e.g., hall hire, travel, refreshments).
 
5. Code of Conduct
We reserve the right to remove any handler or dog from a workshop if their behaviour is disruptive, unsafe, or unsuitable for the event. No refunds will be given in these circumstances.

6. Health & Safety

• All dogs must be in good health and up to date with vaccinations (or titre tested).

• You are responsible for your dog’s behaviour and safety at all times.

• Please inform us in advance of any reactive behaviours or specific training needs.
   

7. Intellectual Property
All content on this site (including training materials, logos, text, images, and videos) is the property of ScentMastersUK unless otherwise stated. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use any content without prior written consent.

8. Privacy Policy

9. Liability
ScentMastersUK accepts no liability for any injury, damage, or loss to persons, dogs, or property during training sessions, workshops, or consultations, whether on-site or at external venues. Participation is at your own risk.

10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes will be posted on this page, and your continued use of the site or services after any update constitutes your agreement to those changes.

11. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
